Description:
Al Nayzak is a natural beachside lagoon by the Red Sea, located a few kilometers from the city of Marsa Alam. It is believed to have formed as a result of a meteorite impact on Earth. It’s astonishing that, though shaped by nature itself, the beach has such a distinct pool-like shape, as if it were designed by an architect. Some even compare its shape to that of an eye filled with turquoise-blue waters.
It’s more than just a relaxing beach; it’s a unique, picturesque place with a spirit of the unearthly and unknown. Ideal for nature lovers who dislike crowded tourist areas.
Situated between the sea and the Al Nayzak mountains, it’s popular among divers and snorkelers. The underwater world is filled with rainbow-colored corals, although fish and crustaceans are not found here due to the thermocline – layers of water at vastly different temperatures.
The water here is crystal clear and warm as the air. There are no sea currents at Al Nayzak, which is important for safe diving and swimming.
